May 1 is around the corner

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to remind you all that the National Priority deadline to make your enrollment deposit is this coming Saturday, May 1.

You may ask yourself, what does this mean? The enrollment deposit is your commitment in coming to Tusculum College. This way, we can prepare the way for you! We do this by signing you up for your Advance Registration day this summer (more to come on that later), and for those planning to live on-campus, this will allow for your housing application to be processed this summer.

Keep in mind the 3 ways to make your deposit:

Mail a check or money order to the Office of Admission, PO Box 5051, Greeneville, TN 37743

Visit the site online at https://www.tusculum.edu/payment/

Call your admission counselor at 800-729-0256.

If you have questions about your deposit or need help, please let us know. We are here to help you!

See you this Fall! :)

Facebook, anyone?

I know a lot of the people that follow this blog are students who have already decided to come to Tusculum next year. I wanted to let you in on a very helpful tool for helping you start relationships with other students who have made the same great choice. If you are already using Facebook, you can just send a friend request to Tc Brandon Conner. Many other students who will be joining us next year have already joined this page!

I think we all know how much you can tell about someone from their Facebook profile. Just think of the stories you can see on somebody’s wall. This page can help you find others with similar interest or from the same part of the country or state as you. It can also serve as a roommate selection tool. If you are browsing through somebody’s photos and you see what a slob they are, it can give you the heads up you need to decide early not to room with them. So, if you want to take advantage of this valuable asset, just search for Tc Brandon Conner on Facebook and start looking at all the other students who will be coming to Tusculum next year.

President's Society Charleston Trip!

For those of you have visited Tusculum College, you may have been lucky enough to have one of our students take you on a tour of campus. Students who help Admission with tours are members of Tusculum College's President's Society, an elite group of students who are involved in many aspects of campus life. These students go through an application and interview process before selection, and then commit to helping with tours, Open House events, and other events on campus.

Each year these students take a trip in the Spring as a "thank you" for all of their hard work. As co-advisors for the group, Nicole Martin and I were lucky enough to accompany these students on their trip to Charleston, SC. I wanted to share some of our pictures with you from the trip!

Go Tusculum!

President's Society membership is open to current TC students with at least a semester of completed classwork. If you'll soon be a Pioneer, I hope you'll consider applying for President's Society in the future!

Where to Live?

I just wanted to start by congratulating everyone that submitted their enrollment deposit last week. I’m sure you all are happy to have made the next step in becoming a Pioneer. This blog is a reminder to everyone that has submitted their enrollment deposit to fill out your housing application. If you haven’t done the paper copy you received in your acceptance packet, you can visit https://www.tusculum.edu/admission/housing_application.php. This link will take you directly to our online housing application.

If you guys haven’t had a chance to come for a visit and you want to learn more about our residence halls, I would encourage you to visit our residence halls webpage. There you will find valuable information about each of Tusculum’s housing opportunities. To access this resource just visit http://www.tusculum.edu/life/residencehalls.html.

Finding out information about other students who have made the decision to come to Tusculum will help you decide on roommate preferences. Aaron’s next blog will explain the resources we have in place to help you find the right roommate…
